Knut Reiersrud Band - A New World (2021)

Knut Reiersrud band consists in addition to Knut himself (guitar and miscellaneous): David Wallumrød (keyboards), Nikolai Hængsle (bass), Bjørn Holm (guitar) and Andreas Bye (drums). This is not the first time this gang has engaged in classics. In 2012 came "Infinite Gratitude" where they met the Trondheim soloists and made a record based on music by Brahms and Shubert. When they now join a symphony orchestra in violence, they lift up the dynamics and sound possibilities many notches, and it is especially daring to embark on symphonic works that are so central to European music history. But with Dvorak's work as a starting point, which is based on American folk music, there is a bridge between two worlds that meet here in a new one. KORK is conducted by Christian Eggen. "A New World" was recorded in Store Studio in Oslo and mixed by Mattias Glavå in Kungsten Studios in Gothenburg.
