Mateo Hurtado - Shapes Drawn By Fire (2021)

This album can be seen as a gradual exploration of what one might call degrees of reality. The lines between dream and wakefulness, artificial and natural, tangible and elusive are blended, shifted and examined through the means of hypnotic soundscapes and subtly-transforming structures. Additional inspiration arose from various topics of psychology, philosophy and mythology, as well as early works of experimental electronica, all transmuted into a contemporary context and intuitively realised through an intimately known, long-evolved modular synth setup.
