"My Bassic Hats" is the first solo effort from Philadelphia electric and acoustic bassist and composer Rob Swanson. It is a chronicle of music inspired by life in and out of the bass chair-a compositional reflection of a working bass player. Though it is a jazz album persay, it is also flavored with latin grooves and esoteric sonic explorations within the traditional jazz framework.
