Oene Van Geel - Frisbee (2021)

The three weeks in August 2020 that followed Oene van Geel's proposal to Tom Van Dyck, felt like playing frisbee: "Shall we send some audio tracks to each other and see what we can do with them?"

Via the internet a cascade of ideas and creativity erupted. It turned out that more than enough material had been created for an album. Producing their own material was self-evident, both Oene (viola, cello, percussion, vocals) and Tom (saxes and EWI) compose and perform a lot, always with a firm footing in jazz, chamber music, 'grooving' pop and free improvisation.
