The Nature of Maps is the fourth album from Matt Pond PA, released in 2002.
Matt Pond PA (often capitalized "matt pond PA") is an indie band formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1998. Matthew Pond is the only remaining original member because the band had to reform when Pond moved to New York City in 2003.
As of 2011 the band has released 8 full length albums as well as multiple singles, EPs and compilation tracks with an ever changing line-up. They gained wider recognition in 2010 when Starbucks™ used their song "Snow Day" in a tv-commercial.
