Črtomir Šiškovič is born in Trieste, studied at “Glasbena Matica” in Trieste and graduated with full marks at the “G.Tartini” Conservatory of Trieste.
He received further education from I. Ozim and the Amadeus-Quartet at the Musikhochschule in Köln, where he achieved a diploma with full marks and special mention. Afterwards he made a specialization with F. Gulli and the Borodin-Quartet at Indiana University in Bloomington, Max Rostal in Klagenfurt and Viktor Pikaizen in Switzerland.
