Geoff Achison is an Australian musician of remarkable ability who has won fans all around the world. Geoff began his musical journey in his father's dance band at the age of 13. He later developed a passion for American blues and taught himself the rudiments of the art form. In his early 20s he moved to Melbourne and was hired as lead guitarist with legendary bluesman 'Dutch' Tilders. After several years with Dutch he departed to focus on his own music and embarked on an international campaign.
On his second visit to the USA he won the 'Albert King Award' in Memphis and scored a Gibson Acoustic Guitars endorsement deal. His energetic live sets showcase his unique guitar style and soulful vocal delivery over an ever expanding range of original tunes and re-arrangements of his favourite blues, rock and soul standards. He has toured the USA, UK & Australia many times playing anything from outback pubs to 13th century alehouses and from southern ‘Jook Joints’ to New York jazz clubs.
Geoff currently lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife and son and continues to tour and record both locally and internationally.
