Hans Brandeis & Hans Reffert founded their duo Flute & Voice in spring 1970. The same year they recorded their first album “Imaginations of Light”, in 1973 they recorded a second album “Hallo Rabbit” which was not published then, because it was not “commercial” enough. They also played live with an array of guest musicians, finally Hans Brandeis moved to Berlin in 1974 and Flute & Voice stopped playing in 1975. “Imaginations of Light” and “Hallo Rabbit” were released together on compact disc in 1995. In 1996, the demo tapes from 1974 and 1975 were re-recorded and released on a compact disc entitled "Drachenlieder."
