Stand on the Positive Side Review by Andrew Hamilton
Paul Kelly's singing has a folksy, dirt-floor quality that purists admire. Like liver, however, he's not for everybody. Warner Brothers tries to mainstream the Miami-born singer on the awful Joe Tex rip "The Fat Lady That Bumped Me Down," and on "Feather in the Wind," a bad choice for Kelly despite the fact that he co-wrote it. The best tracks are "God Can," a strong gospel number, the sensual "Bathin' in Love Waters," "Feeling Good All Over," and "To the Bone Get It On."
