MARYSLIM has been around since 1999. The year that also involved the Kosovo war, one of the largest drug busts ever in American history, the assassination of moderate Iraqi Shiite cleric Mohammad Sadeq al-Sadr, an earthquake in Turkey who killed 13 000 people, etc. If all these things had something in common whatsoever is to this day unknown.

KENT was getting quite tired of playing with the Diamond Dogs, Mats was bored to death with mostly everything and Urrke-T had just moved to Stockholm partying his way through all the sloppy bars and after parties he could find. On one of these cheezy events these three amigos met and before they even knew they had a band going together.

THE DRUMMER though was a slight problem. The guy they had at the time was from Germany and could unfortunately not either make himself understood or play the drums properly. Urrke-T knew what he had to do. He called his old partner in crime - Patrik - a good drummer with a history as a session Jazz-musician.

AFTER an initial audition it was all clear! Rehearsals started and the guys played around with silly names as The Redliners and Smacker, but finally settled for the silliest one MARYSLIM!

MARYSLIM is a constantly touring band. If they are not making the Festivals into infernos and a battlefield, or hi-jacking some vehicle to take them to some stages and bars elsewhere in Scandinavia, they are probably rocking their butts off at the CBGBs in New York, the Red Room in Texas, or conquering Spain, Italy, Germany, England or some other little European country you hardly have heard of before. On their own, or together with their friends in bands like the Hanoi Rocks, 69 Eyes, Backyard Babies, Hybrid Children, Nomads, Sahara Hotnights, Wonderfools, Psychopunch, Marky Ramone, Black Halos or Mustasch.
