Folkrockjazziga Gothenburgers The Ugly collaborates here with singer and kora player Solo Cissokho, and the concept is that each track consists of one of his songs as well as one of either group's flutist Jonas Simonson, the Norwegian blockbusters man Hans W Brimi, or as in the closing number, a text of the spoken word artist Sofia Baig. Contrebande begins with one of the year's best songs, Disposable, an unmistakable, brilliant Simonson composition with fantastic groove combined with Cissokhos Kenote. Some tracks are the two constituent songs clearly separated, in other cases, they flow together more, but they always fit well together.
Flutist Simonson and saxophone Stone Källman is a radarpar, but also drummer Christian Jormin stands for an often brilliant game, with a strong groove yet constantly varied. Solo Cissokho is a virtuoso on both the kora and vocals and adds a lot to the Fules World
