El Payo is a Spanish word translated as 'The Non-Gypsy Man', whose real name is Oupa Joseph Makwela, born in the township of Seshego (Limpopo). He began his musical journey as a DJ early in 2007 and, most recently, was one of our winners of the remix competition of the Kid Fonque X Jonny Miller – Somewhere ft Jaidene Veda tune.
This 6 track EP is a journey into the world of El Payo Jazz Rhythms share space with Latin guitars and broken beat programming - a truly exceptional offering from Stay True Sounds.
