Prompted by Little Richard's comeback on Reprise Records, Specialty, his label during his hitmaking days in the late '50s, went through its vaults and came up with this album of material consisting of songs that had never been released, had only been released as singles, or contained overdubs added to the original tapes. Little Richard had returned to the label briefly in the mid-'60s, and those sessions provided the title track and the 1964 chart single "Bama-Lama Bama-Loo." This was an album aimed mainly at collectors, but much of the material was worthy.
