Just one year after the last great album “Mercy on me”, the Andreas Diehlmann Band is backing up with the album “Them Chains”. This time too, Andreas Diehlmann himself sat on the producer's chair and so it is no wonder that the guitar sound leaves nothing to be desired. In the 9 songs (7 original compositions and successful covers of "The Green Manalishi" (Fleetwood Mac / Peter Green) as well as Willie Dixon's "Little Red Rooster") it rocks, blues and smokes that it just cracks. Listening never gets bored for a second, there are always subtleties to discover in the field of guitar work. The ingenious Stratocaster sound in "Made it my way" alone is balm for the ears of discerning blues rock fans. Diehlmann was also able to improve vocally and so he delivers his most mature vocal performance to date at the factory.Billy Gibbons sends his regards, because what is offered comes very close to the legendary ZZ Top long beard. Even if I have to repeat myself for the last review, I stick to the fact that you don't get better blues rock in the States either.
