Elias Bernet Band - Better off with the Blues (2021)

Highlights in Elias ’musical career include appearances at the Lucerne Blues Festival, on the Blues Boat of the Montreux Jazz Festival and as a guest musician in the USA. For his musical work he was awarded the Culture Prize of the Canton of St. Gallen. As Nicolas Senn's stage partner, he reaches a wide audience with the “Hackbrett meets Boogie-Woogie” program, for example at “Cipriani 42nd Street” in New York, at the KKL Luzern or at the Hehre-Openair in Zofingen.

When the dulcimer Nicolas Senn meets the boogie-woogie pianist Elias Bernet, two musical worlds collide. Two worlds that harmonize surprisingly well.

With their creative openness, the two musicians venture from the traditional Appenzeller Wälserli to the gripping "Hack'n'Roll" and allow different styles to merge. In a gripping duel, the two people from Eastern Switzerland impress with their virtuosity and show their humorous side. The unexpected combination of dulcimer and boogie-woogie turns into a rousing feast for the ears.
