With a Congolese scent, a sparkle of Reggae and soft Jazzy vibes, the cosmopolitan singer songwriter is so versatile that no genre can fully describe his colorful vibrant sound. Batila ́s sweet and mellow voice accompanied by his guitar, has the power to guide the audience through unique live experiences, be it with a full band on a big stage, or in an intimate acoustic setting, he ́s well known for his energetic and memorable performances.
Born in DR Congo, raised between Berlin and London, Batila is the sum of many life experiences, strongly marked and nurtured by his African roots that we can find in his distinctive timbre and melodic style.
Influenced by Hip Hop, Pop and Rock music, he finds the real inspiration to pursue his musical career from some of the most iconic Congolese artists such as Papa Wemba, Franco Luambo Makiadi, Simaro Lutumba to name a few
