The Treasure Islanders - Covering Some Treasures Vol.1 (2021) [Hi-Res]

The Treasure Islanders are a Finnish ska/rocksteady band formed during covid19 lockdown. The band members share the same passion for old ska-music and as the guys share the same rehearsal room they started to play together and found out soon that it grooves.

In Jamaica there were few major studios in the 50s and 60s where all the big hits were made. Treasure Isle was one of them and the band took the name as homage.

The Treasure Islanders´ purpose is not to make exact blueprints of the hits of yesterday but play with their own style music you can dance and have fun with. Also new, original material is coming in all the time.

These every mother´s dream sons-in-law have been recording and playing in various blues-, rhythm & blues-, punk- and garage bands for years so the guys are well seasoned musicians.
