Michael Cornett started playing and writing music back in the 1960's in San Francisco and Cincinnati. He moved to Boston in the early 70's to pursue a recording career and ended up in New York City working with Suzanne Ciani. He's put together a home recording studio to help him with his songwriting, and as time went by he got more and more serious about the quality of his recordings buying better equipment as he could afford it.
Now he lives in the North Georgia mountains with his wife Janie on their horse farm on the Ellijay River in Gilmer County. He has a DAW recording studio with Cubase software, where he records his songs and produces singers and bands and co-writes with other songwriters. He has always been a rock artist, but as time has gone by he's been writing more country songs. "I never understood country music until I actually lived in the country for a while". He loves the broader appeal of more "down home" music that is simpler and more heartfelt than a lot of the rock music that you hear now days.
I've been a christian rock artist since the early 1990's and has released two albums down through the years. The first collection of songs was a 5 song EP with his group ELIJAH called "Head for the Mountains". This was a more classic rock style of music with lots of loud guitars, drums and screaming vocals
