10CD box set that brings together twelve classic albums featuring jazz piano great Oscar Peterson - either as leader or sideman. The albums were recorded between 1950 and 1959 and feature Lester Young, Stan Getz, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Ben Webster, Buddy DeFranco and many others.
Peterson was a Canadian jazz pianist and composer who released over 200 recordings, won eight Grammy Awards, and received numerous other awards and honours. He is considered to have been one of the greatest jazz pianists, having played thousands of live concerts to audiences worldwide in a career lasting more than sixty years.
