Maestro Beatrice Venezi, one of the few women in the world to conduct orchestras at an international level, releases her new project HEROINES on the Warner Music Italia label. In this new work, Venezi avails herself of the collaboration of the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento. Heroines comes after My Journey - Puccini's Symphonic Works, and is a reference to the message of female empowerment always present in the Maestro's communication.
This album focuses on Preludes, Symphonies, Interludes and Orchestral Suites taken from works that feature the extraordinary female characters of Verdi, Strauss, Shostakovich, Cherubini, alongside modern compositions of Piazzolla and Lloyd Webber. These are the symphonic portraits of those who in the collective imagination are considered heroines par excellence - characters without the need for introduction - such as Joan of Arc, Isolde or Evita, as well as the portraits of women who social stigma catalogs as negative models, more witches than women. All are celebrated for their impact on history and culture!
