By its third symphony in C minor, a native of South Tyrol Malles Venosta composer Johann Rufinatscha celebrated in Vienna in 1846 the greatest success of his career. This dramatic work is heard for the first time in recent times. The wind parts to the not entirely traditional symphony were stylistically sensitively complemented by Michael FP Huber, a Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra of the 21st century.

The Rufinatscha-proven Academy St. Blasius can be heard on the CD further with three concert arias Rufinatschas where present two leading exponents of the Tyrolean Gesangsszene, soprano Belinda Loukota and the bass-baritone Andreas Mattersberger, their design skills.
