K. Shivakuma, Krishnamurti Sridhar - Shringar (2015)

These are ragas for sarod and violin in the southern Carnatic tradition, recorded in concert by two brothers from the younger generation of musicians. Raga Bageshri is a late-night raga, while the extremely popular Bhairavi is played at any time of day. Here they are both given somewhat contemplative renderings that focus on spiritual depth rather than technique.
