Stylistically transcending genre: jazz and Viennese chamber music. Playful - but not funny. If you listen carefully to the album, you get the impression of increasing gloom, which is only absorbed by a flaky "encore" in the last four minutes. Each of the sweeping fantasies about Viennese music deals with a different facet of this city, the repertoire ranges from a homage to Roland Neuwirth to a delirium about Strauss waltzes, or, as the booklet says: »The humor, the megalomania, the Longing, the grotesque and sadness "are the theme of this approach to the" Viennese aura ". Vienna has to be »reinvented«, says the guitarist. He is supported by a top-class ensemble of six musicians, including Lorenz Raab trumpet and flugelhorn and Joanna Lewis, Australian violinist and leader of the Koehne Quartet.
