Christer Lyssarides is an exceptional guitarist who has played with Eric Bibb, Yonder, OK Star Orchestra, and many others. But now it’s finally time for Christer to take the spotlight with his own songs.

The vibe of his debut album ”Christer Lyssarides” is very much a reflection of the guitarist Christer Lyssarides, and moreover the person Christer Lyssarides. It’s warm, friendly, searching, but never brazen or obtrusive. It’s deceptively easy music that only grows in complexity with careful listening.

The eight tracks presented reflect Christer’s character in different ways. His music is thoughtful, even philosophical, with a foundation of subtle humor. His lyrics and music are perfectly matched and create an entirely convincing whole that captivates you, even at it’s most low-key

In the hands of a less talented musician, these songs might have been reduced to harmless background music, but Christer Lyssarides is such a peculiar and brilliant guitarist that he makes it impossible to not pay attention.
