Subsist Records is once again awarded an extensive work to its catalogue with an album by French producer Der Amethyst in which it takes on a conceptual meaning based on the exploration of the unknown, on the prolegomena and possible successes of complex operations based on space research. Mapping The System follows a series of operations and technical aeronautical procedures and the probable existing consequences to achieve such a complex goal as is to reach our neighboring planet.

Der Amethyst adapts each fragment to a very specific technological sequence in the preparation and development of a space odyssey with textures thought and elaborated expressly to accompany this complicated journey. Just as Jeff Wayne musically portrayed an alien invasion, the Parisian artist projects as a soundtrack the entire procedure in an expedition beyond our orbit, using mainly cosmic melodies in which the acute frequencies end up taking over this sound story.
