Compared to the likes of Feist and Alison Goldfrapp, Venus Gets Even is the self-titled debut from Australian-born, Paris-based quirky singer/songwriter Nadeah Miranda, previously a member of U.K. alt-rock act the LoveGods and French new wave collective Nouvelle Vague. Produced by Italian composer Nicola Tescari, its 11 self-penned poetic tracks, which blend old-school cabaret with contemporary jazz-pop, include the lead single "Odile."
