In November 2020, the Subjangle label were proud to release a 20 track compilation of their favourite, "lo-fi jangly weirdy-pop" outfit, The Pierce Kingans.
However, such is the immense quality and quantity of the back catalogue of this Vancouver based act, that it just felt as though there was something missing...unfinished business, if you will.
To fill the void, we coerced Pierce Kingan himself into selecting 30 tracks from 15 of his always special EP and single releases, to include upon a double album / CD. Let's go big we thought !!!
Always 'different' (as the GG Allin style, self destructive artwork attests), such a sense of obtuse is always edged, with a perfectly sloppy, lo-fi attention to (un)detail, that totally belies the fact, that this act can always be relied upon to provide stunning moments of absolute melody.
I hope you enjoy this release and that it helps The Pierce Kingans to become as essential to you, as they always will be to me !
