Set across two decades, You Are My Sunshine follows teenagers Tom and Joe, who first meet in the 1970’s. The 90-minute film was written and directed by Darlaston film maker Dave Hastings and produced by Troy Dennison and Kaush Patel.

Hans Michael Anselmo Hess is an award-winning Brazilian born British film composer based in Leeds-UK. Hans became a musician because he has always loved the power of communication that music is capable of. 
Hans’ signature style is predominantly orchestral, although he loves to experiment, whenever appropriate to a project, with the use of the classical guitar and other instruments. He has been an enthusiast of the 'hybridisation' of other musical genres and incorporates this into his musical language, in order to bring bold, different and innovative approaches for film scoring. 
Recent past projects include feature films Dilemma; Sustain; You Are My Sunshine; Clownface; Carnival of Sorrows; and shorts films Snarl and Once An Old Lady Sat On My Chest.
