MARINA RUIZ MATTA, exquisite pianist and composer - without a doubt one of the most brilliant exponents of her generation - presents her fourth studio album, entitled The Age of the Elephants, on May 7 in Buenos Aires.
Conceived in a pandemic and motivated by the imaginary of new possible worlds, The Age of the Elephants fantasizes about a land inhabited by another species, on a musical path that vindicates the musical components of our American territory, made invisible by European tradition. Marina proposes an original music written for a typical formation of contemporary music, with musical borders that blur and dialogue fluidly between the popular and the academic.
The Age of the Elephants is made up of ten original compositions by the artist, composed and orchestrated for Ensamble Pierrot, a luxury quintet made up of Ramiro Gallo (violin), Pablo García (cello), Patricia Da Dalt (flute), Manuel Rodriguez Riva ( clarinet and claron) and Marina Ruiz Matta herself on piano. Before her tour of Europe, MARINA RUIZ MATTA, an artist who combines passion and a great interpretive display, will once again dazzle the Buenos Aires public with this fascinating fourth album, which will be available on all digital music platforms starting April 22 .
