Erwin Trio - Tinctures (2022)

The Erwin Trio, founded in 2020, combines the various musical influences and inspirations through the diverse roots of its musicians. Behind the names Miroslaw Tybora (accordion), Eric Richards (double bass) and Philipp Staege (drums) are three musicians from three countries - Poland, England and Germany, who are united in the musical cultures of swing, jazz, chansons, Sinti and Roma music, as well as classical music. Here Johann Sebastian Bach encounters well-known themes such as "Black Orpheus" or the all-time hit "My Way" from the 1960s. Musette pieces from France and some works by the Argentine composer and bandoneon player Astor Piazzolla are also freshly seasoned and prepared. The audience can look forward to a solid repertoire that shakes the dust out of old works with new impulses and polishes them to a high gloss.
