Associació Musical Ciutat de Benicarló - Música Festera: Concert del X Aniversari dels Moros i Cristians (2022)

The Association of the Festival of Moors and Christians of Lleida has put on sale a compact disc that includes up to twelve pieces of Festive Music performed by the band Unió Musical Ciutat de Benicarló. The recording took place last year during the celebration of the X Anniversary Concert and includes, among others, the anthem of the Festival of Moors and Christians of Lleida; original piece by Francisco Escartín who is the author of the music and lyrics and has been performed on this album by baritone Jesus Espuñes.

The CD includes six Moorish and six Christian marches, as well as two encores. As for the Christian marches, the album includes the pieces Jéssica by J. Rafael Pascual, Rosabel by Francisco Escartín, In the Crusades of Peñíscola by Pablo Anglès, Reconquista by Santiago Quinto, Caballeros de Navarra by Ignacio Sánchez and Cruz Daurà by Francisco Valor . The Moorish marches are the Centenary March by Armando Blanquer, Pepe el Moro by Francisco Escartín, Cavall de Foc by J. Rafael Pascual, Alabarda by Pablo Anglès and Al Primer Tro by Rafael Mullor. Regarding the bisos are Caballeros de Navarra by Ignacio Sánchez and Ximo by Josep M. Ferrero.

This album by Música Festera is a production of the Association of the Festival of Moors and Christians of Lleida that has been mixed and edited by Bossa Records and that has had the collaboration of the Imac (Municipal Institute of Cultural Action ), of the city council of Lleida.
