A child prodigy, Maïté Louis received her first violin lessons at the age of 3 and gave her first public performance at 8. Maité is the recipient of numerous national and international contests. She obtained, among others, the second prize at the International Alexander Glazunov Competition in the Republic of Karelia (Russian Federation), as well as the Honour Award for Female Artists and Musicians. Maïté Louis is currently sharing her activities between her career as a performing artist, her position as a concertmaster at the Orchestre Les Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble and her teaching activities at the Grenoble Regional Conservatory of Music.
