Gilles Peterson is a busy man. For Sonzeira project, it has tapped into one of its biggest sources of energy: his love for Brazilian music. Those who had the chance to see work behind the decks during the last twenty years that Peterson and Brazilian rhythms are inseparable. No wonder he spends a project of this country music then. But as the producer does nothing like everybody else, this is more than a tribute to the heyday of bossa nova it offers. In true visionary, he slides behind the console and is working young producers from England and stars of Brazilian music for a result as rooted in the future than in the past. Sonzeira is a new interpretation of the samba, baile funk and bossa, barrier, while respecting the codes of their own. One thing is certain, the festive spirit that characterizes Brazil is still there.
