The performances of all three works on the disc are superb. The musicians are not only technically masterful, they play with an unbounded energy, joy, and intensity that is absolutely riveting. This was clearly a labor of love by all concerned. The intensity of the performances is enhanced by microphone placement that is close to the musicians, but not overbearingly so. If all concert music received the benefit of performances with this kind of élan, the world would be a better place. Highly recommended. — Fanfare, January/February 2020
