Hi music lovers today the Danish singer and choir singer Christina Boelskifte releases her new ep “Not alone”. Christina has tried a bit of everything and has for many years sung choirs for many Danish musicians, in recent years she has more and more jumped out as a soloist as well as as a songwriter and she also released her debut album "Ready for love" in 2007. Now she is ready with her new ep which I would like to write about here.
The first song was released as a single last year and is a real jazz beret "Walk the same" which is alternately down in tempo and a little more up in tempo in the chorus. the song is lovely to listen to and Christina sings really well and this comes into its own right at the end of the song.
Song 2 was also released as a single last year and here Christina shows that she is a singer and songwriter who is very versatile and this song which is also the title number is called "Not alone" and is a beautiful ballad which I personally thought suits Christina's voice best and this is my favorite on the epen and you just want to sit back and enjoy this beautiful song that Christina sings incredibly beautifully. Along the way, the number is amplified by a bold guitar solo and there is quite a long way from the first number to this number which both know something different and again show Christina's versatility.
Song 3 was also released as a single last year and is called "Curtain call" and here we are back in the more jazz, the song is not the best of her songs and sounds a bit like some of her previous songs just not as good unfortunately.
Song 4 is the latest single released this year and is called "Move on with the snow" there is another jazz song that works and Christina's voice comes to her full right in this song where the melody also swings, Christina's voice is nice warm and warm and one enjoys listening to this song that only gets better and better. The guitar again fills in the soundscape at the end which gives an extra breath to the song.
Song 5 is also the last and is called "Save somebody's life" and here Christina ends where she is best with a beautiful ballad that is screwed together really well and does not sound like something you have heard before and Christina sings beautifully and sincerely on this last beautiful number on this good ep.
5 stars out of 6 Christina is a skilled singer and a skilled and different songwriter, she does not sound like others and her way of singing and writing songs works, especially the two ballads on the ep “Not alone” and “Save somebody's life” are really strong songs that just work you can buy and hear the ep on various streaming services.
