Dave Cope and the Sass is singer songwriter Dave Cope's most focused foray into the realm of paisley power pop. The group's self-titled first album was recorded in Philadelphia PA, both at Cope's home and at state of the art recording studio Spice House Sound. The result is a sonic adventure with the authentic feel of a 70s pop record remastered in the 21st century. A wide variety of blended influences can be heard in the music giving it a familiar, coherent, thoroughly infectious sound reminiscent of artists such as Big Star, George Harrison and the Kinks, The album has received critical acclaim as well as continued radio play in both the United States and the U.K. Dave Cope and the Sass plan on taking their sound to the stage with a series of live appearances in the coming year.
