Led by singer/guitarist Todd Park Mohr, Big Head Todd & the Monsters started out on the Colorado rock scene in the mid-1980s, releasing their first album in 1989, but it was their third release, 1993's SISTER SWEETLY, that broke the band through to a national audience. With such hits as “Bittersweet” and “Broken Hearted Savior,” they're more song-oriented than most of the '90s jam-band types they're often lumped in with, but they share with those bands a fondness for a free-flowing mix of blues, rock, and funk. Though they never again matched the commercial success of SISTER SWEETLY, Todd and company continued working together into the 2000s
