Alicia Lindberg - Before You Go (2022)

Before You Go was recorded in January 2022 in LP Studion, Malmö, Sweden. The album is Swedish jazz singer and composer Alicia Lindberg's Debut album.

The record consists of four original compositions by Alicia Lindberg and three covers, Mount Harissa written originally by Duke Ellington, The Nearness of You written by Hoagy Carmichael, and Thursday’s Child written by Elisse Boyd.

On the album, you hear pianist Ebba Dankel on Before You Go, Oh man, The Nearness of You, and League. You also hear Elias Larsson on piano playing on the following songs, Staring Into White Walls, Inne hos mig, If We Fall (Mount Harissa) and Thursday’s Child. On double bass you hear Hilda Nordkvist playing on all the songs except Thursday’s Child, a piano and song duett. Drummer Mattias Nyman is also playing on all the songs except for the last song. On tracks number 1,2 and 7 you can also hear Eskil Larsson on Tenor Saxophone.

Alicia took inspiration from composers like Duke Ellington, Kenny Wheeler, and Horace Silver in the process of writing the album. All the songs on the album reflect Alicia's unique sound and way of arranging and composing.

The album cover was designed by Disa Sunnerstam and the photos were taken by Maja Gallstad.

All songs were mixed and mastered by Christoffer Wallin.
