The band was founded in Amsterdam after singer and bassist Dale Wathey responded to a call in a supermarket from guitarist Jan-Paul Kooistra. Shortly afterwards, drummer Maurits Huijgen joined the band on the advice of Bram Kniest and Teun Hieltjes from Go Back to the Zoo, who are friends with Kooistra, as Huijgen was their roadie. The band's name comes from the Beatles song I Am the Walrus in which the line Elementary penguin singing Hari Krishna. Man, you should have seen them kicking edgar allan poe. prevents. In the summer of 2012, an EP was recorded, the first song "Everybody Knows My Name Especially On The Dance Floor" was released in September of that year. This song accidentally ended up on radio 3FM, which they named Serious Talent a week later. The EP of the same name was released independently in the spring of 2013.
In March 2014, the band released the single "Pitch Black", which earned them a recording contract with V2 Records. In the summer they record their debut album, which is produced by Bram Kniest (drummer with Go Back to the Zoo). This album, called "Weekend Transition" was released on November 10 and was presented two days later in Paradiso.
