Not Goin' Away is the third release from the critically acclaimed Bey Paule Band. Their previous release Soul For Your Blues received 2 BMA (Blues Music Award) nominations, and wound up on the Downbeat Magazine critics poll as well as the Living Blues Magazine Best of 2013 list. This resulted in two European tours, and a many prestigious festival appearances throughout North America in 2014. With this success the band started writing songs for this latest release. Ten of the twelve tracks are original and they are bound to tickle the fancy of any fan of traditional soul, blues, and R&B music. Although the music from this eight piece power house is reminiscent of Otis Redding, Bobby Bland and B.B. King, they have managed to put their own stamp on this style of American Roots music.

The Frank Bey and Anthony Paule Band, eight pieces of soul-blues musical genius, has been mesmerizing West Coast audiences since 2011. Two CDs released in 2013, You Don’t Know Nothing and Soul For Your Blues earned the band two Blues Music Award nominations, and an acclaimed show-stopping performance at the prestigious awards ceremony. All this well deserved attention has paved the way for two International tours during the summer of 2014. Frank Bey’s hypnotic vocals and Paule’s lofty guitar playing, keep their band on a shelf all by itself. However, if comparisons need to be made, they would be likened to Bobby Bland, B.B. King, Ray Charles, and Otis Redding. They are currently working on their third album set for an early 2015 release.

Born and raised in Millen, Georgia, Frank Bey began his singing career performing gospel at the tender age of 4. Along with his brother and two cousins, their group “The Rising Sons” toured around The South making live appearances as well as radio broadcasts. At age 17 he joined the Otis Redding Revue working as the opening act for several years. During his time with Otis Redding, Frank learned to captivate and mesmerize an audience with a song. After a long hiatus from the music business during the 80s and early 90s, Frank came back better than ever.

Anthony Paule has been a driving force of the Bay Area music scene for many years and has previously released two solo CDs. In addition to fronting is own band, he’s toured and recorded with Boz Scaggs, Charlie Musselwhite, Bo Diddley, Maria Muldaur, Barbara Lynn, Norton Buffalo, The Johnny Nocturne Band, Mark Hummel, and others. The release of the two CDs with Frank Bey, “You Don’t Know Nothing” and “Soul For Your Blues” finds Paule in his element, in full stride with this eight piece soul band... backing up a fine singer.
