Zarek Silberschmidt & George Ricci - Rips and Tears (2022)

George Ricci and Zarek Silberschmidt met in Basel on the banks of the Rhine in 2019. While both artists are fantastic musicians in their own right, there is real magic when the two come together! Together they create new musical dimensions. You can feel the depth of respect and love for music, enhanced by the influence of two different generations. With George a native of London and Zarek a native of New Zealand, their musical excursions are as varied and expansive as the distance between their countries of origin. Sounds of Django Reinhardt, Chet Atkins, Klezmer and Balkan mix harmoniously with classic forms of jazz and pop. So their joint album "Rips & Tears" is at its core a wonderful musical dialogue between two friends.
