Carme Canela, Jorge Rossy & Jaume Llombart - Lost in the Stars (2022)

Carme Canela, an acclaimed singer with a long list of solo projects and collaborations with stellar musicians to her name, Jorge Rossy, a leading figure in the Spanish and international jazz communities, and Jaume Llombart, a brilliant guitarist with a very personal voice on his instrument, have released their first album together in trio with Fresh Sound New Talent: “Lost in the Stars”.

The Canela-Rossy-Llombart trio emerged organically out of mutual admiration and a desire to make music together. The particular sound and timbre of the trio along with the musicians’ sensitivity, affinity and musical approach, take listeners on a fascinating journey through the emotional content of each composition.

The wide-ranging repertoire includes musical gems like Wayne Shorter’s “Diana” and Kurt Weill’s “Lost in the Stars”, songs by Brazilian composers including “Beijo Partido” by Toninho Horta, and original compositions like “Sexy Time” by Jorge Rossy, “Es Hora de Penetrar el Sueño” de Carme Canela and “Alcolea 129” by Jaume Llombart.
