Recorded Live aboard the Star/Ship Atlantic, September 7-10, 1995.
Recorded live on a blues cruise ship, this is the label's first live album, featuring several of the label's mainstays, Ace Moreland, Junior Markham, Sonny Rhodes, Noble Watts, and Floyd Miles, backed by the Midnight Creepers, the house band. Kenny Neal puts in a guest shot with Sonny Rhodes, the two of them trading lap steel licks on Jimmy Rogers' "You're the One." With the presence of a full horn section on most cuts and the enthusiastic interaction of the players involved, there was an awful lot of energy pouring off that stage when the tapes were rolling, and it's all here to savor. An inspired session that weds blues and blues-rock players together quite successfully.
