Kya Loum - Niit (2022)

The album Kiit is a clever mix of Afro-blues, modern folk, nostalgic soul and traditional Senegalese sounds. Kya Loum's sound and voice are solemn. It forces us to stop everything to appreciate the 9 titles of this project in the smallest details. The singer says she grew up with the great voices of music, such as Miriam Makeba. This inspiration is clearly felt in this project: the power of his voice, coupled with the beauty of Wolof, gives Kiit an almost mystical aspect. His guitar, accompanied by traditional percussion or an electric guitar on "Waaw Coumba", only perfects his captivating vocal performances.
