Composer,Arranger,Teacher and a Bass Player. Arnon is one Of Israel's and the U.S.A most veteran Jazz musicians, being both an American and Israeli citizen. Following classical studies of the string-bass, guitar and Piano at his youth, Arnon joined "The Israeli Navy Band" where he had commited mandatory military service for 3 years. Right after that, Arnon has entered the Israeli Jazz scenes. While living in the U.S.A. for 12 years,Arnon has accomplished his B.M degree at "Berklee School Of Music", Boston,Ma and his M.M degree in "manhattan School Of Music, Ny,Ny.plus additional studies with Mark Levine ,Hal Galper and Mike Gibbs and Bass studies with Joseph Lang, Shmulik Aroch, Greg Mooter, Richard Appleman, Bruce Gertz and Jeff Andrews. In the states Arnon also played and recorded with Norbert Stachell (Tower of Power) , Mike Hyman, Graham Bruce, & Gary Fischer . At the Blues/Rock venue Arnon has performed in Danny Kalb's super- group which combined by two legendary bands:The greatful dead and the Blues-Project. The show was televised by San-Francisco's major Cable tv station. For the last nine years,Arnon is the Chairman of the Bass department at the famous israeli "Rimon" School of Music", were he also teaches traditional harmony, arranging, "Frank Zappa" and "The Beatles" survey classes, and is the producer/conductor of the School's prestigious "Blood Sweat &Tears" ensemble, with a joint cooperation with the "Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance" where Arnon teaches Jazz ear-training, Big-Band arranging, Jazz history. and Jazz Harmony analysis by his own method. (Graduate seminar). Arnon performed in live concerts with Jazz greats such as Benny Golson, Dave Liebman, Lee Konitz , Didier Lockwood, Ben Monder, Lewis Porter. Donald "Duck"Bailey. Jeremy Davenport , John Hart, Norbert Stachel, Mike Hyman, Gary Fischer, Dave Douglas, Aierto Murera, Terry Lyne Carrington, Zakir Hussein and many more. Arnon has led numerous projects for the international "Red Sea Festival" with his 10 piece band "Plutonium" and with his Jazz Quintet .His Cd "Pocket Size Pocket" gained 5 stars in critic polls in Europe and the U.S.A. Arnon has recently won a price for exellence in composition for chamber ensemble for his "String Quartet Opus 500" by the international competition for composers of original composition, by the city of Tel Aviv and Israel's ministry of education, and gained his PHD dissertation (with highest distinction) about Jazz Harmony at the "Bar Ilan" University, and is active in the music scenes of New York City and San Francisco as well.
