Enjoying beach life earning a living making music keeps Anna busy working in Southern California. As a solo artist she started performing on stages in the Los Angeles coffee house scene, primarily at the Iguana Cafe in North Hollywood. Joni Mitchel, Carol King, and Elton John, were early influences but Anna also was influenced by classics such as Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson and Duke Ellington before crafting her own songs and instrumentals.
In 2018 she toured Europe, performing at La Buca jazz club in Milan, Italy, and Madame Poulard’s piano bar, Mont Saint Michel, France, to name just a couple. She returned to Europe in 2019 performing in the Grand Arcade, Cambridge, England and taking a turn on the grand piano at Brown’s Restaurant, among other venues.
Along the way she played in bands and with other artists, steadily working the music business. She has produced and arranged concerts featuring her music with up to 40 singers, instrumentalists, and dancers. Since 1981 Anna served as accompanist and music director for Vocal Production and Music Theater classes at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Hollywood campus, helping educate hundreds of students.
Anna has achieved service playing certification from the American Guild of Organists and is a member of both the Los Angeles and Long Beach chapters. She has played for religious services for decades. She is also a member of the Society of Women Organists.
