The nine tracks on the band's debut album sound sometimes emphatically classic, sometimes playfully modern. Founded in 2018 as a quartet, Sir Bradley has since grown into a septet. Fans have had the opportunity to experience the sound live several times over the past few months. Among other things, the musicians around band leader Maria Rothfuchs played a great concert at the Con Next Women on Stage Festival in mid-November near Lüneburg.
The seven-strong ensemble consists of bandleader and bassist Maria Rothfuchs, Doro Offermann (tenor saxophone), Annette Kayser (drums) and Lovis Determann (guitar), Sonja Beeh (trombone), Magdalena Abrams (bass clarinet) and Catharina Boutari (vocals). The band is characterized by the harmony in the interaction. "It's not about higher, faster, further, but deeper - and together," explains Maria Rothfuchs. You can feel that.
