2022 released studio album of the Italian-French jazz pianist in quartet formation

born in 1970 in Perugia, Italy, Giovanni Mirabassi made a name for himself in the jazz scene of the 80s, already playing with greats like Chet Baker or Steve Grossman. But at the beginning of the 90s he settles in Paris, continues his career as a Frenchman, meets artists like Michel Portal, Flavio Boltro, Aldo Romano, Stefano Di Battista or Nelson Veras. He wins numerous national jazz awards, performs at festivals such as Paris Jazz, North Sea Jazz or JVC Jazz Festival

For "The Swan And The Storm" he brings together a sizzling quartet lineup. Saxophonist Guillaume Perret as well as Clément Daldosso on double bass and the excellent Lukmil Perez on drums. Giovanni Mirabassi works here on the intensity of the dialogue between piano and saxophone. Between lyrical touch and hypnotic breath, poetry and storm, Apollo and Dionysus, he composes an original repertoire inspired by the upheavals of an uncertain era.
