Widening the blues path to draw upon ground broken by The Funky Meters, Dr. John, and Taj Majal laid atop the foundation of Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Water and John Lee Hooker, King muDDfish dishes up contemporary mix of blues genres called Swamp Boogie Blues. Song cover the mysterious, the deadly, the seductive, the love, the sacrifice, the esteem, the power, the joy, and the party in ways only the blues can do.

"Tails of the Flying Mermaids" reflects a heavy southern accent on a global vision of what the Blues can be from a band with nearly a half-century of history.

Mike Edwards and Dan Newman have forged their combined lead guitar style over decades of playing and writing together. From learning to play together as early teenagers from chord diagrams on a Beatles album, Mountain's Leslie West handing them two Albert King albums with instructions to lock themselves in a room and learn how to play like "THAT", to living on the hard road of smokey bars and tough living, Dan and Mike have relentlessly honed their craft despite the chaos around them and the temptations to which they surrendered.
