Rocktrain Slaves are a Blues and Rock n’ Roll band born in 2005 in Bologna, as three old friends met up and, inspired by 70s Rock Blues great bands and tired of the same old commercial pop and rock scene, decided to write and play some good music togheter.
The founder of the band are Andrea Folli (Vocals - Harp) Davide Parisini (Drums) and Eugenio Richetta (Guitars). Later on Alessandro Rizzato (Bass) will catch up and establish the first stable line-up, and soon these four friends would start to work on some new songs...
Troughout this formation the band produces his first important work: in april 2008 they put out THE RAIN CAN WAIT, a ten songs album of original material that gets great feedbacks from radios, reviews, and most important of all, audience. This album allows them to perform in 2008 at the PISTOIA BLUES, the most important italian blues festival, as opening act for blues greats Johhny Winter, Dickey Betts & The Great Southern, Hot Tuna, Watermelon Slim, and Andy J.Forest. From then on, the band played in lots of live clubs, festivals and parties around Bologna and Italy.
In late 2009 Flavio Malpighi (Guitar) joins the band, helping to define the sound of the band as it is today and bringing the sound closer to the early two-guitars-bands that influenced so much this project.
During 2009 and 2010 the band plays as resident jam band in one of the bigger live clubs in Bologna, during a monthly project called BLUESERIA that wanted to bring some of the greatest artist of the italian blues scene to play togheter.
During this period the band also started an acoustic project, that allows them to play smaller clubs, buskers festival, forcing them to interpretate their tunes on a different perspective.
As they continued to perform live shows and festivals, on march 2011 the band recorded a 5 songs demo that will be soon printed out.
In September 2012 Alessandro Rizzato at the bass has been replaced by Lorenzo Meliota.

Today Rocktrain Slaves have played more than 200 concerts around Italy and they continue to thrill Rock-Blues fans with energic performances and colorful blues jams.
